D. Scott Drescher
D. Scott Drescher attended the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. While attending undergraduate school, he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and was captain of the varsity swim team. He graduated with a B.A in Psychology and sociology from WKU in 1991. His education and knowledge in these areas has helped him understand the thinking process of juries. This unique ability has aided him in becoming a very successful trial attorney. In fact, he has lost only a few trials in the last twenty years.
Thereafter, he attended Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law. While at ONU law, he was vice-president of Phi Alpha Delta, and taught street law to a high school class.
Upon graduation, Mr. Drescher worked at Stoney and Stoney, an old Charlestonian law firm, where he handled the majority of their most difficult litigation files. Thereafter, he joined a large Charleston plaintiff’s firm where he eventually handled the majority of their large and most complex cases.
Mr. Drescher is admitted to the South Carolina Bar and United States District Court, District of South Carolina. He has handled numerous complex civil cases, including wrongful death cases, for over twenty years. This experience as helped him become a very successful trial attorney and he puts this knowledge and experience to use every day in helping his clients.
He currently resides on James Island with his wife Jackie and their sons Zachary and Ryan.
